The Newcastle upon Tyne Law Society is a professional association for solicitors. Our first meeting was held on the 27th January 1826. We have served solicitors in the North East of England since that time and have promoted professional expertise for nearly 200 years.

Free seminar and networking event hosted by the Law Society’s Property Section is taking place in Newcastle on 1 May 2024, at Northumbria University. This seminar will focus on the Building Safety Act 2022.
Newcastle Law Society in conjunction with the University of Law are hosting a LegalTech breakfast seminar on 24th April 2024 from 8.30am to 10.30am
The Annual Lecture will take place on 9th May 2024 and will be given by the Honourable Mr Justice Nicklin.

Inaugural conference open to Newcastle Law Society members is taking place on 7th March 2024. It will be looking at the Building Safety Act, Climate Change Reporting, the digital Conveyancing Revolution and the new Leasehold and Freehold Reform Bill.
Newcastle Law Society members each receive a copy of our digital monthly magazine. This contains local news, legal articles, events, details of courses and training, opinions and discussions.
